GOTONG-ROYONG PERDANA PIBG SK MERLIMAU DUA TAHUN 2024

"Gotong-royong" is a term that signifies the spirit of volunteerism among community members in Malaysia. It is a tradition that has been practiced since ancient times and is considered an integral part of Malaysian culture.

Recently, my school, SK Merlimau Dua, organized a "Gotong-royong PIBG" event which saw the participation of not only students but also teachers and parents. The event was held on a Saturday 11 May 2024, and the turnout was impressive.

The teachers and parents were divided into several groups, each assigned with different tasks. Some were responsible for cleaning the classrooms, while others took charge of beautifying the school area. There were also those who helped in arranging the library books and cleaning the school canteen.

The "Gotong-royong" event served as a platform for teachers and parents to work together towards a common goal. It was heartening to see everyone, regardless of their roles, working hand in hand to improve the school environment.

One of the significant outcomes of this event was the strengthening of the bond between teachers and parents. They had the opportunity to interact and understand each other better, which is crucial in fostering a strong school community.

Moreover, the event also demonstrated the importance of "Gotong-royong" to the students. They learned about the values of cooperation, responsibility, and community service. It was a practical lesson for them on how collective efforts can lead to significant changes.

In conclusion, the "Gotong-royong" event involving teachers and parents was a success. It not only resulted in a cleaner and more conducive school environment but also strengthened the school community. It is hoped that such events will continue to be held in the future to uphold the spirit of "Gotong-royong" in our school.
